I have heard that it is very crowded during Mahashivratri and Navratri festivals, but they are very conducive periods. Those who have been there or stay there, what do you recommend? When should I take off and come if I want to spend about a week at the center?

Generally around festivals, Pournami and Amavasya and weekends are crowded. Check cottage.isha.in for availability. Generally I see the availability opens up around 3 months before for booking.
